Project Engineer - EHV Specification & Design at Egis Group

The role

This Project Engineer position focuses on developing future electricity network investment projects across the EHV distribution system. You will support front-end engineering and planning to ensure projects are technically robust and ready for delivery.

What you'll do

• Support the development of EHV infrastructure projects from concept to delivery-ready status.
• Undertake feasibility studies and engineering assessments for network reinforcement.
• Develop technical specifications for substation plant replacement and customer connections.
• Produce project scopes and cost estimates while assessing technical risks.
• Coordinate engineering surveys and stakeholder inputs to support project definition.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements throughout the process.

What you'll bring

• Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering projects within electricity transmission and distribution networks.
• Knowledge of substation plant and equipment operating from 11kV to 66kV.
• Understanding of CDM requirements and engineering governance processes.
• Experience managing project costs and stakeholder interfaces for substation projects.
