Summary:
- The Design Manager is responsible for the management and execution of core creative assets and development materials for Global Brand Creative within Universal Products and Experiences.
- Works directly with Creative Director and or Sr. Design Managers to develop design strategy and workplan for creating those core creative asset deliverables.
- Owns/executes projects individually and or manages outside design resources.
- Manager will be the internal go-to design generalist and production resource to the Global Brand Creative team across Franchises. Flexibility is key.

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 (bonus eligible)
Qualifications
Responsibilities include:
- Brand expert first and foremost through a creative lens. Creative ambassador for any given brand. Storyteller in the sense that we are an extension of the filmmaking teams.
- Creative problem-solver.
- Overall management of Design, Branding, Packaging and Retail style guides that align with creative and business priorities. These core guides and tools are leveraged across the organization both internally and externally.
- Day to day management of those creative projects and delivery schedule in partnership with Creative Director, Sr. Design Managers, and Creative Operations.
- Partners across studio business units with a focus on Franchise Strategy and Product Development. Creative being the bridge - making sure everyone’s priorities are met.
- Assists in the presentation of the teams work to executives and partners, both internal and external.
- Will be asked to perform other production related duties as assigned to support the needs of the internal creative working team – inclusive of file prep/qc, layout, asset pulls, research etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a graphic designer
- Diversified design portfolio
- Knowledge of the Consumer Products and Retail business
- Expert level proficiency in Adobe CS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Keynote
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player and open to real-time feedback at all times
- Fan of Universal film and television IP
- Bachelor’s degree in design preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
