Product Designer Lead

We are Looking for a Product Designer Lead (Driver), an inspiring leader with a strong bias for action and an unwavering passion for the user,  ready to take the reins of our talented design team.

You will directly guide a group of highly motivated Product Designers experts, setting the standard for user experience excellence and driving the elevation of our core driver products.

You’ll work closely with Product and UX Research leaders, as well as cross-functional partners in squads, to deliver high-quality experiences that help our designer to solve our users’ problems and support them in achieving their goals. You also will play an active role in shaping the UX Culture and processes at Freenow, helping nurture a collaborative and open-minded environment, alongside people with different backgrounds, focuses, strengths, and experience levels.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Manage Design You will be responsible for quality and design excellence of our product design team’s craft, pushing for growth and constant improvement.
• Domain ownership: You will operate with a substantial degree of autonomy assuming full stewardship of product design for Freenow B2B products. 
• Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Analysts, and other stakeholders to translate complex business and user requirements into cohesive designs.
• Data-Driven: You will use data to validate your team’s designs. This data informed approach will be the basic expectation of the role within our team. 
• Feedback culture: You are a believer of Radical Candor, which means you love receiving constructive feedback and you also provide feedback every single day. 
• Understanding business: Your work will not only cater to the requirements of our users but will also contribute to the success of the product and the organization. You will need to get comfortable with the ride-hailing industry. 
• Accessibility and inclusivity: You are committed to user experiences that are inclusive and accessible. This includes adherence to best practices for accessibility and aspiring to universal usability of our products. 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Product Designer, including leadership experience, within a fast-paced environment on a multi million customer facing product such as mobility, food delivery etc 
• Strong, proven experience designing for multi-platform products (iOS, and Android), coupled with expertise in utilizing and contributing to Design Systems.
• A passion for creating simple, elegant, and highly effective designs.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your design vision and rationale through verbal/written explanations, sketching, or rapid prototyping to audiences ranging from design peers to the leadership team.
• Proficient experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform and drive design decisions, recognizing the strengths and limitations of both data types.
• A strategic and analytical mindset, demonstrating a commitment to deeply understanding competitor actions and critically evaluating the Why and their relevance before adopting any approach.
• English Fluent
