The opportunity 
At Interbrand, we believe every brand deserves to be seen, understood, and loved. We're known for creating iconic transformations that change how people perceive and interact with the world's most recognized brands. As a Design Intern, you'll join our Creative team for 6-12 months to learn how strategic thinking becomes visual impact. You'll work on real client projects, contribute ideas at every stage, and develop your craft under the mentorship of experienced designers. You'll also immerse yourself in Interbrand's approach to brand, learning how we use creativity to create iconic moves through our proprietary frameworks.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Learn Interbrand's IP, service offerings, and methodology to understand how we approach brand transformation through our Three Lenses framework
  • Onboard into our business and creative culture and build relationships across the team and disciplines
  • Contribute creative ideas and visual thinking to projects at all stages, from research and concepting through final execution
  • Sketch, prototype, and visualize ideas to experiment with different directions and refine based on feedback
  • Support the team in translating insights into visual concepts, brand identities, and real experiences
  • Learn and master design tools including Adobe CC, Figma, and emerging software relevant to the project
  • Participate in design research, problem-solving, and presentation support for internal teams and clients
  • Give and receive constructive feedback and actively collaborate with designers, strategists, and other disciplines
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks by managing your time and deliver work to agreed deadlines
  • Engage with Interbrand Academy learning resources and external inspiration to continuously build your creative skills

 

What we’re looking for

Experience

  • In your final year of university or freshly graduated
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, attention to detail, and range of work
  • Proficient in core design programs and enthusiastic to play with new design tools and software
  • Awareness of current design trends and digital tools

Relationships

  • Builds rapport to learn from experienced designers and peers
  • Comfortable speaking up with ideas and perspectives and not afraid to ask questions
  • Works well in team environments and actively seeks opportunities to contribute and support others

Curiosity

  • Passionate follower of cultural and creative trends locally and globally
  • Mentality of asking questions to learn how creative connects to strategy and business outcomes
  • Believes in sharing references and trends to foster dialogue

Commerciality

  • Understands the importance of deadlines and client briefs and delivers on time
  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows through, showing initiative and reliability
  • Recognizes that design decisions serve a strategic purpose, not just aesthetic preference
