Head of Design at Surprise Paris

Surprise Paris is a daring French brand that thrives for excellence through curiosity, travels and pop culture. As our head stylist, you will play a crucial role by:Creating compelling collections (Knitwear, Woven, Denim, Cut&Sewn), following the brand’s values and DNAProposing new emerging trends, details and potential creative collaborationsManaging all the design process from research stage to yarn/fabric selectionExpressing your creative skills from drawings into productionCreating technical specs for suppliersOrganizing fittings, iterating on successive prototypes, up to SMSDoing constant research and competitive benchmarkYou will be assisted by the merchandising & marketing team, and report directly to our founder & CEO + our creative Director.

Specific knowledge and experience for the role:

Strong ability and taste to stand-out creativelyGood sketching skills, understanding of volumes, shapes, colors, fabrics and Yarn makersUnderstand technical specs and requirements from factories (Yarn counts, GG…)Excellent communication skills in both English and FrenchPrevious experience as a stylist in a similar role is a must
