Job Description
- Managing the Architectural Engineering consultant team in the design of the Data Centre to meet design program.
- Coordinating design change and working closely with the client to meet their design requirements. As the client is global they will be required to effectively communicate the project requirements, gather stakeholder requirement, manage design changes and meet critical deadlines.
- Must be client focused and confident.
- To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- To manage the Client team deliverables to required quality and schedule requirements
- To monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
- To manage the change control process
- To manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
- To ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports
- To take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
Qualifications
- Experience preferably in Datacentre or High-tech manufacturing. Background in Civil & Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or other design based profession
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from dealing with strategic issues at conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
- Excellent knowledge of construction industry technical matters
- People management experience, particularly in the context of managing a team delivering a project
