Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Piping/Plant Design Engineer with AutoCAD expertise and proficiency in 3D modeling software (Plant 3D, Revit, E3D, Open Plant). Must be skilled in preparing engineering drawings (civil, equipment, piping, cable tray, pipe supports), understanding structural/pipe stress analysis requirements, and handling material requisitions and bid evaluations. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of ASME codes, equipment layout design, and pipe support calculations. Experience in model reviews and cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential. This role involves conducting peer reviews, managing technical documentation, and contributing to water treatment system projects while following quality procedures. Position offers opportunity to participate in ecological transformation initiatives at Veolia.

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

Must-Have Requirements

  1. Able to draft  "As-Built" drawings using AutoCAD software 

  2. Able to prepare Civil/Equipment/Piping/(non-process  and process lines)/Cable tray/Pipe supports  in 3D Model based on Engineering documents like PID/Equipment & Instruments Cutsheets /Valves & Piping List etc., using 3D Modeling Softwares like Plant 3D, Inventor Revit ,E3D, Open Plant etc.

  3. Able to prepare skid design and plant engineering model and deliverables

  4. Able to Prepare Structural & Pipe Stress Analysis package including weight datasheet

  5. Proficient in developing material requisitions , Review supplier technical offers and prepare techno commercial bid evaluation tabs.

Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)

  1. Able to draft Equipment/Foundation Layout using AutoCAD software 

  2. Able to prepare Civil/Equipment/Piping(non-process and process lines) in 3D Model based on Basic Engineering documents using 3D Modeling Softwares like Plant 3D, Inventor, E3D,,Revit etc.

  3. Able to Perform Pipe support span length calculation and review 3D Model. Performing stress analysis with simple load cases & combinations, Pipe Support Selection 

  4. Proficient in conducting  3D model reviews from concept to completion 

  5. Knowledge on ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code /B 31.1 Power Piping Code

  6. Aware of interdisciplinary activities and support for various other disciplines during the project

Qualifications

 

Educational Qualification: Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering

Experience Required (Min – Max year): 7- 10 years’ Experience of mechanical design in  Water, Power,Oil & Gas or related Industry.
