Job Description

1. Support technical evaluation for aftermarket brake pad development to meet product coverage target, including identify OE sample, analyze and define new FG /components, check the consolidation possibility of new products to existing products to avoid duplicate development. Provide necessary data to MKT to take make/buy decision.
2. Once P/N kick off, as part owner, responsible for bake pad reverse engineering, releasing BOM, drawing, technical requirement including identify new components and existing components, provide sketch for new component quotation, check supplier's drawing, propose supplier, calculate the tolerance to guarantee the fitment between components, defined the key dimension, organize design review, get design approval from related departments.
3. Provide mass production and customer technical support, including technical feasibility check, risk assessments, follow the ECR process to change drawing and BOM.
4. Continuous improve technical competence, define component and FG design validation method, continuously
improve product design, initiate engineering change.
5. Technical communication with supplier.

6. Meet customer requirements and related regulations (e.g. GB5763, ECE R90)

7. As project member, meet requirement of time, quality, cost defined by project.

Qualifications

1. Mechanical design, vehicle engineering, etc.
2. Be proficient in using 2D software such as Auto CAD and 3D software such as Solid Works / UG / CATIA / proe.
3. Be able to calculate the tolerance.
4. With sheet metal stamping product experience, tool experience is preferred.
5. Be fluent t in English (at least be able to do basic English communication)
6. Familiar with and able to use EPDM is preferred.
7. Familiar with and able to use SAP is preferred.
8. Experience in brake pad industry or brake system is preferred
