Working at THUAS has it! What will you be doing? As a Designer and researcher within the Business, Finance and Marketing Faculty and in specific the Designing Value Networks research group, you are involved in strengthening the connection between the Research group, the Centre of Expertise and the various research programmes and study programmes as well as with other relevant stakeholders both within and outside the University. You maintain intense contact with students and lecturer-researchers when implementing diverse research and applied projects. Within the Faculty you are substantively aligned with the Designing Value Network professorship.
The focus of the work will be in one or more of the following areas:
Playing an important role in developing, designing and implementing co-creative processes and projects that focus on promoting societal transitions.Contributing to the design and building of networks with the Centre of Expertise Global and Inclusive Learning in order to achieve common goals.(Co-)Designing and organizing diverse events that bring stakeholders and involved researchers together, creating a platform for deep dialogue and impact generation.Conducting multidisciplinary research.Contributing to the research agenda of the Designing Value Networks research group, and communicating with partners in the field.Contributing to acquisition, development and implementation of grant applications and writing publications.Learning from related projects, involving partners from ongoing projects.
Besides your role as a designer and researcher, you have the opportunity to towards developing a PhD or PD or work in different projects with municipalities or private sectors. Moreover, there is also room for own initiative and new ideas for research and education.
What do we expect from you?We want you to become successful in this position. When reading through your resume, we would like to see that you have:
A master’s degree in in a relevant field such as design, transition management, entrepreneurship, business, economics, or a related discipline;Experience in contributing to the implementation of research plans;Experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods;Proficiency in creating engaging content for diverse audiences;You are proficient in both Dutch and English;Experience in providing education within the higher educational arena.
It is also a plus point if you have:
Experience in using data visualization tools;Familiarity with online community platforms and social media management.

An appointment of 0.4 FTE, 16 hours per week;A salary between € 4.632,17 and € 6.677,44 gross per month (scale 11) for a full-time work week (the employment conditions are in line with the Collective Labour Agreement for higher professional education);8% vacation allowance;Guaranteed end-of-year pay of 8,3%;An extensive leave arrangement;The choice between an NS Business card (2nd class) for your commutes or a kilometer based compensation.
