Job Description

Join us as one the early members of our Product Design team and help lay the foundational building blocks of the next generation of social apps.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer whose superpowers lie in interaction design, motion, and systems-level thinking.

You'll be a part of a small and versatile team, so be prepared for virtually no routine. This also means you’ll have the freedom, resources, and agility to create top-notch products.

Your focus will be to architect core UX flows in our products: developing signature interactions that crack user behavior and clarify our complex spatial models and features.

You have a meticulous eye and strong design fundamentals; you’ll regularly zoom out to a bird’s eye view, ensuring that the pieces click together.

With your high-level vantage point, you’ll drive and maintain a flexible design system to support rapid iteration and prototyping.

At amo, we thrive in creative chaos but our UX needs to feel simple, intuitive, and emotionally resonant to the users around the world who love our products… especially because our ambition is to reach billions of them!

What This Looks Like Day-to-Day

Craft & Ownership

You’ll craft signature interaction patterns, infusing motion in places to disentangle sticky flows and breathe life into our products.

You'll embed yourself in our design team and continually evolve our best practices for translating feature concepts into scalable UX and beautiful interfaces.

Iteration & Deep Collaboration

Your natural instinct is to make ideas tangible early in the process, using prototypes to quickly test big, ambitious product ideas.

You’ll act as a bridge between design and engineering and work across multiple platforms and surfaces (iOS, Android, web).

Artistic Boldness

Our code and our craft are inspired by art, fashion, and emerging technologies.
We break standards and we are bold, always pushing each other to find fresh takes on what we build.

You’ll fire up your creative instincts and contribute to our collective imagination.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on, and care deeply about your craft.

  • 8+ years of experience designing consumer application, product, or software, even better if you’ve worked on consumer social products.

  • Obsessive about small details and visual finesse; you sweat the 1px difference and care about every transition and haptic.

  • Mastery of cutting edge design and prototyping tools and an appetite to acquire new skills.

  • Curious, self-directed, and excited by the ambiguity of early product work.

  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating in English (our working language).

Even Better If You...

  • Are passionate about social apps and believe the consumer space is broken and ripe for reinvention.

  • Have complementary skills like 3D and are eager to experiment with generative AI tools.

  • Have strong opinions on art, culture, and fashion trends.
