Job Description

Nox is aiming to become the best alternative to short-haul flights by soon offering premium overnight trains across Europe. With a radically redesigned interior and onboard experience, people travel in style, saving time being asleep. We now search for the most passionate and talented people out there to bring the first of many more Nox trains on the tracks.

We believe in strong teams through diversity, fresh thinking, and a shared commitment to build something meaningful. Apart from that, these things are important to us:

Stay real. From intern to CEO, everyone will work at least two cabin crew shifts a year

Own it. Take responsibility from day one to shape Nox with your personal touch

Challenge. Question legacy thinking and push ideas that really excite our customers

We care about strong, data-informed thinking and clear communication, but just as much about building a team with diverse perspectives and experiences. We especially encourage individuals who are usually underrepresented in traditional industries and business contexts, creating a more inclusive and balanced environment for the whole team.

If you enjoy crafting meaningful experiences and turning complexity into clarity, this role could be for you. As a (Senior) Product Designer (f/m/d), you will shape the end-to-end customer journey—designing seamless experiences across digital and physical touchpoints while aligning teams and ensuring consistency and quality.

Tasks

Own the journey: Lead customer experience from initial inspiration to post-trip, mapping and continuously improving every touchpoint across passengers, crew, and back-office operations.

Lead the experience: Design, develop, and ship cohesive experiences across digital and physical product lines, combining user research with strong product vision.

Translate complexity into clarity: Turn the complexity of night train operations like scheduling, logistics, and partner integrations, into consistent, and seamless user experiences.

Maintain consistency and Quality: With a holistic view across all touchpoints, proactively identify gaps and inconsistencies, resolving them before they become costly problems.

Requirements

You have around 5+ years of experience in product design, service design, UX design. Experience in hospitality, mobility or consumer services are a strong plus.

You are an aesthetically-oriented thinker who can empathise with a wide range of customers and users of the Nox environment, even if outside of your own thoughts

You think in journeys and systems, feeling equally comfortable to map a service blueprint as well as challenging interaction flow

You communicate with clarity and conviction, able to align product, engineering and operations around a shared experience vision, calling out uncomfortable gaps as they appear.

You thrive in cross-functional roles, whether it’s shadowing crews over night or untangling a complicated backend-workflow

Benefits

A small, young and powerful team with diverse backgrounds, visions and skills

A culture built on flat hierarchies, zero corporate politics and plenty of room for you to grow

A chance to build one of the most influential products in European mobility and hospitality

A competitive start-up salary combined with employee stock options

A lot of new things. If you love the unknown and can adapt quickly, you’ll have tons of fun with us

A free contingent of Nox rides in the future, Nextbike subscription, strong Travel discounts as well as choice of either Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club or sport reimbursements.

Please don’t let imposter syndrome hold you back; we value your passion and potential more than a perfect match with every requirement. Even if you don’t meet every single criterion, we still encourage you to apply.

Please note: All positions require fluent English unless stated otherwise; additional languages are a plus.

Along with your CV, please include your salary expectations, earliest possible start date, and your answer to the following question in your motivational letter or application email:

Why does Nox need to exist - and why are you the right person to help build it? (max. 3–4 sentences)
