Job Description

About the role

Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Material Design & Simulation Engineer to join the global Advanced Materials Solutions (AMS) team within the Materials Group Division. You will support business growth and work to expand Avery Dennison’s focus in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) related to multi-component synergistic materials design and polymer synthesis and processing. Specifically, you will work across our global businesses and technical teams to identify, develop, and deploy computational design and analysis to aid in solving rapidly evolving market-driven material needs. You will support multi-functional teams in the ideation of new product designs and commercialization chemistries, while collaborating directly with product development scientists, pilot facility teammates, operations associates, third-party contract manufacturers, and equipment vendors.

A progressive problem solver is needed to leverage scientific fundamentals, robust experimentation, and computational theory. You will propose practical solutions for complex product and process development challenges through creative and agile technical leadership. You will leverage active engagement with multi-functional teams and drive to work independently toward business and organizational needs. We are looking for someone with a growth mentality to bring new and evolving ideas.
