About Chain of EventsWe build the events where the people shaping technology actually meet. Chain of Events runs three of them, all in Paris, all within the same week.RAISE Summit is the AI summit for decision-makers. Launched in 2024, it has grown from 2,000 to 12,000+ attendees across three editions — over 80% of them C-level, from 76 countries — with 350+ speakers spanning AI infrastructure, enterprise adoption, agentic systems, sovereignty and policy. The 2026 edition at the Carrousel du Louvre featured Mark Cuban, Yann LeCun and Nelson Griggs (Nasdaq). The week extends well beyond the main stage: the Versailles AI Gala at the Orangerie of the Château de Versailles, the RAISE Hackathon, and RAISE the STAKES, the startup competition that drew 1,100+ applications in 2026.MACHINA Summit is Europe's leading event dedicated to Physical AI: intelligence that acts on the real world through humanoids, industrial robotics, autonomous systems and next-generation human–machine interfaces. Its inaugural 2026 edition brought together the entire Physical AI ecosystem and the enterprises deploying robotics at scale, with speakers from Google DeepMind, Boston Dynamics, NVIDIA, 1X, Apptronik and Agility Robotics. It is the fastest-moving brand in the portfolio and the one with the most white space ahead of it.Alongside them, Signal Week is the institutional summit for digital assets. Founded in 2019 as Paris Blockchain Week and elevated to Signal Week in 2026, it draws 10,000+ attendees from 100+ countries, with roughly 70% holding C-suite positions. Its last edition convened 250+ banks and financial institutions, over $50T in assets under management, and 70 government officials and regulators — BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity, BNY Mellon, Citi, the London Stock Exchange, ESMA and the European Commission among them. The thesis is that TradFi and digital assets are no longer two industries but one financial system being rebuilt on shared rails.
In July 2026, all three were acquired by Hyve Group, the global B2B events organiser behind Possible, HLTH and Shoptalk. In 2027 they converge on the Palais des Congrès in the same week — RAISE on 7–8 July, alongside MACHINA and Signal Week. This role is starting as soon as possible and runs to the end of January 2027, covering the period when the templates and collateral behind the 2027 campaigns are built.
Role OverviewChain of Events is looking for a freelance Senior Designer to take the evolved RAISE Summit brand identity and roll it out across the full range of event collateral, reporting into the VP Marketing for RAISE and MACHINA and working hand in hand with the Senior Brand Designer who is leading the brand system. This is a hands-on role for a Figma expert who can turn a brand system into a complete, well-built suite of templates - reports, speaker banners, pitch decks, email headers - and keep the quality bar high at pace. The brand has been evolved for 2027, with a new visual system and design system in build. Your job is to make it work everywhere: designing and building the templates the wider team will rely on all year, applying the system consistently across every format, and splitting the work with the Senior Brand Designer across RAISE and, where it makes sense, MACHINA - RAISE's sister summit for robotics and physical AI. You'll join a team that uses AI tools every day, and a designer who is comfortable with tools like Claude Code will have real room to shape how templates get built and automated.
Key ResponsibilitiesTemplates & CollateralApply the evolved RAISE identity across the full collateral suite - reports, speaker banners, pitch and sponsor decks, email headers, social formats, and event templates.Build master templates in Figma with clean structure, auto layout, components, and variants, so the wider team can produce on-brand assets without design support.Design flagship pieces end to end, such as reports and sales decks, to set the standard for the rest of the suite.Prepare assets for the channels they live in - HubSpot email, LinkedIn and social, presentation tools, and print where needed.Brand System CollaborationWork closely with the Senior Brand Designer to agree priorities and split the template workload across RAISE and MACHINA.Feed back on the system as you apply it - spotting gaps, edge cases, and missing components - and help keep the Figma library organised and documented.Keep every output consistent with the brand guidelines for typography, colour, layout, and imagery.AI & Design ToolingUse AI tools across the design workflow - concepting, image generation and editing, resizing, and production - to move faster without compromising craft.Where you have the experience, help connect templates to the team's AI and code-based tooling (e.g. Claude Code, design tokens, automated asset generation), so standard materials can be produced with little or no design intervention.Delivery & HandoverManage a steady pipeline of template and asset requests from the marketing team, prioritising against campaign deadlines.Hand over a clean, documented template library at the end of the engagement, ready for the team to use through the 2027 editions.
Required SkillsExperience & KnowledgeSenior-level experience as a brand, digital, or communication designer, in-house or agency, with a strong portfolio of brand system and template work (indicative: 5+ years).Expert Figma skills: components, variants, auto layout, variables, and well-structured shared libraries.Proven experience rolling out a brand identity across a wide range of formats - decks, reports, email, social, and event materials.Strong typographic, layout, and editorial sense, with an eye for premium, understated brand work.Comfortable using AI tools as part of a professional design workflow.Strongly PreferredExperience building or maintaining design systems - tokens, component libraries, and documentation.Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted build tools, for example turning Figma templates into code-based or automated outputs.Working StyleAmbitious about quality - you want the template suite to be something the whole team is proud to use.Fast and organised, able to handle a high volume of formats without losing consistency.Easy-going and collaborative, and comfortable sharing and splitting work with another senior designer.Self-directed and reliable working remotely, with clear, proactive communication.Curious about technology and AI, and open to new ways of building design work.Nice to HaveMotion or animation skills (e.g. After Effects, Figma prototyping, Lottie, or similar).3D modelling or rendering experience (e.g. Blender, Cinema 4D, Spline, or similar).Experience with events, conferences, or B2B technology brands.
