Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Highway Project/Design Manager to be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and leads a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects.
- Manages design effort, design schedule, and budgets.
- Implements and oversees change and risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinates client needs and develops/builds on relationships for future opportunities.
- Mentors, develops, and hires support staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Monitors contract compliance and leads project dispute/resolution process.
- Leads and assists in the development of future design-build proposals.
- Builds and maintains relationships with project owners.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations in highway design projects.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers, to optimize project outcomes.
- Conducts regular project status meetings and prepares comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Implements innovative design solutions to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manages project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization.
- Develops and maintains project documentation, including design plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Represents the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote AECOM's design-build capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 20+ years of transportation project experience.
- Must possess UT state PE license or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
- Experience with Design Build delivery for final design.
- Design Build Project Experience.
- Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects on large complex highway projects.
- Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills and Ability to Lead Staff.
- Position will require frequent travel to project and client sites.
