About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff UX Designer for User-Centered Design Excellence to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic UX initiatives across our product suite, elevating user experience standards and ensuring consistency and innovation. Your expertise will empower a global design organization, influence design practices, and foster a culture of excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, guiding and coaching designers, and advocating for user-centric solutions at all organizational levels. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact numerous projects, shape design visions, and drive continuous improvement in user experience quality. Flexibility is a core aspect of this role, with options for mobile working within Germany and abroad, aligning with your personal and professional needs. The position can be full-time or part-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline. You should possess extensive professional experience in User Experience, Interaction Design, or similar fields, with a compelling portfolio demonstrating design excellence and measurable business impact. Proven leadership in managing complex design initiatives and projects within agency or in-house environments is essential, along with a track record of guiding multiple stakeholders in large organizations. Experience in healthcare, medical technology, regulated industries, or other complex product environments is highly desirable, providing a strong foundation for understanding industry-specific challenges and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic UX leadership across multiple products, projects, and enterprise-wide initiatives, establishing and maintaining interaction design standards and best practices.Coach and mentor designers and cross-functional teams to elevate UX quality, ensuring user-centered decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.Create compelling UX visions, concepts, and narratives that inspire stakeholders and design teams, demonstrating hands-on leadership and exemplary work.Foster a vibrant global design community by establishing forums for collaboration, knowledge sharing, peer learning, and ongoing inspiration.Support design teams in solving complex challenges by designing innovative solutions, providing constructive feedback, and offering expert guidance across diverse initiatives.Advocate for user-centered design principles across all organizational levels, aligning teams and driving exceptional user experiences within Siemens Healthineers’ portfolio.Identify emerging trends, evolving best practices, and strengthen global design capabilities to continually advance design excellence.
