We've partnered with a well-funded Series A startup building at the intersection of agentic AI and cybersecurity. They're redefining how security teams investigate, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities using autonomous AI agents to cut through the noise and surface what actually matters. They're hiring their first designer to own the entire design function from scratch. Here's everything you need to know:

💰 Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 per annum + very substantial equity💻 Benefits: Meaningful equity, direct access to founders and a CPO with a strong design background, genuine ownership over design direction, systems, and craft standards from day one🚀 Industry/Type of business: AI-powered cybersecurity, vulnerability management, agentic AI🏠 Work location: EU, fully remote🧩 Interview process: 4 stages: screening call with the Head of Talent, hiring manager interview with the CPO/Co-founder, portfolio deep dive, and final conversations with senior stakeholders🦄 Reporting to: The CPO/Co-founder, a designer by background with experience at a leading enterprise software company, who will be a genuine creative counterpart rather than just a manager👏 Company size: Small, expert team with hands-on founders who have multiple exits and an IPO behind them. You'll be the first and only designer, with a second hire expected by end of year🎯 Working on: Inventing UX patterns for human-AI collaboration in security, how investigations get surfaced, how trust between humans and agents gets built, how complex security workflows become understandable. There's no existing playbook for this. You'll create one, alongside building the design system and setting the quality bar for everything the company ships⏰ Why now: Security teams are drowning in vulnerability noise. AI agents that can investigate and triage autonomously are the answer, but the UX for how humans and agents work together doesn't exist yet. You'd be defining that interaction model at exactly the moment the category is forming

We'd love to chat with you about this position if:✅ Your portfolio shows genuinely complex, data-dense B2B/B2C interfaces (not mobile) with multiple workstreams, technical depth, and strong visual craft✅ You've operated as an early-stage or founding/solo designer before and are comfortable building a design function from scratch✅ You think about what to build and why, not just how it should look. You've challenged requirements, influenced roadmap, and shaped product direction✅ You use AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow and can speak credibly to what they're good for and where they break down✅ You're startup-hardened, comfortable with shifting priorities, ambiguity, and a pace that rewards people who lean in and lead
