About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior UX / Product Designer with strong poker knowledge to help shape the next generation of poker learning, coaching, and training experiences.This is not a traditional design role focused primarily on visual polish or incremental interface improvements. We are looking for someone who can deeply understand how poker players think, study, practice, and improve — and translate complex poker strategy, data, and training workflows into intuitive and effective product experiences.The ideal candidate combines strong UX and product thinking with genuine poker knowledge. You should be comfortable discussing poker concepts and understanding the needs of serious players, while also being able to step back and design experiences that make sophisticated concepts easier to learn and apply.Experience with poker products is highly valuable. Experience with other learning, coaching, or strategy-based products — such as chess training, language learning, competitive gaming, or skill-development platforms — is also highly relevant.You will work closely with product, engineering, poker experts, and leadership to rethink how players learn, practice, analyze decisions, receive feedback, and improve over time.
What You’ll DoOwn UX and product design for poker learning, coaching, and training experiences from early concepts through implementation.Translate complex poker strategy, analytics, and technical concepts into clear, intuitive user experiences.Design learning journeys that help players understand concepts, practice skills, receive meaningful feedback, and track improvement.Explore interaction models for training, drills, simulations, hand analysis, coaching, and personalized learning.Work closely with poker experts and players to understand how people actually study and improve their game.Partner directly with product and engineering to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new ideas.Use user research, behavioral data, and product metrics to identify friction and improve engagement and learning outcomes.Help establish UX principles, interaction patterns, and design standards across our poker products.Think beyond individual screens and features to shape the overall learning and coaching experience.
What We’re Looking ForSignificant experience designing complex consumer-facing digital products.Strong end-to-end UX/product design capability, including information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, user research, and usability testing.Strong practical understanding of poker and how players think about, study, and improve their game.Ability to understand poker strategy and terminology well enough to collaborate effectively with poker experts and design for serious players.Strong ability to simplify complex systems and information without removing meaningful depth.Experience designing products where engagement, progression, feedback, or mastery are important parts of the user journey.Strong product judgment and the ability to challenge assumptions rather than simply execute predefined requirements.Comfortable working directly with engineers, domain experts, and senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design and thoughtful solutions to complex product problems.Strong written and spoken English.
Nice to HaveExperience designing poker products, poker training tools, solvers, coaching products, or other poker-related software.Experience with learning or coaching platforms such as language learning, chess training, competitive gaming, or other skill-development products.Familiarity with gamification, progression systems, adaptive learning, personalized coaching, and skill assessment.Experience designing data-heavy or analytical products while keeping them accessible and intuitive.Ability to contribute to UI and visual design when needed.Experience using AI tools to accelerate research, prototyping, design exploration, or other parts of the product design workflow.
