Job Description

About TradeifyTradeify is a fast-growing futures trading company built to help traders access the tools, technology, and opportunities they need to succeed. We combine a trader-first approach with modern technology to create a reliable, transparent, and engaging experience for our growing community.

We operate at the intersection of finance and technology, and we move quickly. Our team is driven by a shared belief that better tools and experiences create better traders — and we are building those experiences every day.

The OpportunityTradeify is looking for a Design Engineer — a hybrid designer/builder who is proficient with both AI-native tools as well as traditional design software. You'll move from concept to shippable code fast, using AI to generate visual directions, prototype interactions, and write production-ready front-end code, all with strong design judgment guiding every step.

You'll support work across our website, digital products, and brands — but where a traditional designer hands off a mockup, you'll be prototyping and sometimes shipping your own solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer-who-codes (or a developer with real design taste) who wants to work at the frontier of AI-assisted creation and development, under the guidance of our Head of Design as well as various stakeholders.

What You Will DoDesign + BuildDesign and build landing page sections, page variants, and marketing website experiences directly in codeCreate and ship polished product UI for smaller features, enhancements, and design tickets — going from concept to working front end without a traditional design-to-dev handoffProduce brand collateral such as presentations, social graphics, campaign visuals, and other creative assets using AI generation and editing toolsWork within established brand and design systems while maintaining consistency across touchpointsApply strong typography, hierarchy, layout, color, and visual/content design principles — regardless of the tool used to produce the outputStructure web experiences around what visitors already know, what they need, and the actions they're trying to take

AI-Native WorkflowUse AI tools (LLMs, image/video/3D generation, AI coding assistants) as your primary design and development environment — not just a supplement to FigmaRapidly explore multiple creative directions by generating and iterating with AI rather than manual compositionsUse AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or similar) to turn concepts directly into working, responsive front-end codePressure-test ideas quickly, prototype in the browser, and iterate based on real interaction rather than static mockupsApply strong judgment about where AI accelerates the work and where hands-on craft and review are still requiredStay current with new AI design/dev tools and bring the useful ones into the team's workflow

Roadmap and Growth InitiativesContribute to new products, features, and business initiativesSupport marketing website and product improvements end-to-end, from idea to shipped codeHelp design and implement conversion and UX optimizationsPartner with senior designers and engineers on larger, more complex projectsUse feedback, available data, and business context to refine your work

Collaboration and ExecutionClarify small or underspecified briefs by asking thoughtful questions and defining scopeExplain the reasoning behind your design and technical decisions, including directions considered and rejectedCommunicate progress clearly in an asynchronous, remote environmentDocument decisions and keep work organized (code repos, prompt libraries, brand assets) so others can easily follow and continue itManage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality, shipped work in a fast-moving environmentIncorporate feedback quickly and keep projects moving once direction is setWhat We Are Looking ForA strong portfolio demonstrating shipped work — real websites, product surfaces, or prototypes you designed and built, not just static compsGenuine fluency with AI-native creation: comfortable generating, editing, and refining visuals with AI tools, and comfortable using AI coding assistants to write real front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS, React, or similar)Working proficiency in front-end development — enough to take a design idea from concept to a live, responsive build without a hand-offStrong visual and UI fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, layout, color, and an understanding of web UX and how to structure a page around audience needs and desired actionsThe ability to create polished brand and communication materials (decks, social graphics, marketing visuals) using AI toolsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work within an established brand systemInitiative to think through a problem before executing, and the ability to clearly explain your reasoningClear written and verbal communication skills, particularly in an asynchronous environmentA genuine interest in design and technology, and evidence you consistently experiment, build, and improve your craft1–3 years of relevant experience; the strength of your portfolio, your shipped work, and your AI-native fluency matter more than years on a formal design or engineering team

Nice to HaveExperience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Webflow, etc.)A track record of building and shipping personal or client projects largely through AI-assisted workflowsExperience creating motion graphics, micro-interactions, video, or 3D visuals with AI toolsFamiliarity with conversion-focused web designAn interest in futures trading, financial markets, or fintech

Why Join TradeifyJoin a rapidly growing futures trading company at an exciting stage of its developmentWork at the leading edge of AI-native design and development, with real ownership over how that workflow evolvesGain exposure to product, web, brand, and growth work instead of being limited to one areaShip frequently and see the direct impact of your work across the businessLearn from experienced designers and engineers while developing greater ownership and independenceWork in a remote-friendly, fast-moving environmentReceive competitive compensation and benefitsHelp shape the digital experiences used by Tradeify's growing community of traders

A Note on Our Hiring ProcessAs part of the application process, candidates will be asked to submit a portfolio showing real shipped work — live sites, prototypes, or repos — rather than only polished case studies or exported screens.

Selected candidates will participate in a walkthrough interview to discuss a piece of work: the problem they were solving, the directions they considered, what they rejected, how they used AI tools in the process, and how they reached the final build. Finalists will also complete a short, clearly scoped practical exercise designed to take no more than a couple of hours.

At Tradeify, we use AI-assisted tools as part of our recruiting process, which may include resume screening, application review, and candidate communication. We want all applicants to be aware of this upfront so you can make an informed decision about applying. Final hiring decisions are always made by a member of our team.
