What You’ll Do

As a Product Designer, you'll contribute to the development of Eneco’s smart thermostat proposition and real-time home energy solutions. You translate complex energy data into intuitive and accessible experiences across web and mobile platforms. Working alongside a Senior Product Designer, you'll help customers better understand, monitor, and manage their energy consumption. You'll combine customer insights, data, and experimentation to continuously improve the user experience.

You are curious, customer-focused, and eager to grow as a Product Designer. You enjoy solving complex problems and turning them into simple, meaningful experiences for users. You are comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative insights and understand how design contributes to business objectives.

You also bring:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.2 to 4 years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or a strong portfolio demonstrating comparable capability.Experience creating user-centred digital products with measurable impact.Experience working with experiments, usability testing, and data-informed decision-making.Strong knowledge of Figma and design systems.Understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.Confidence to make design decisions and explain the reasoning behind them.

You’ll be responsible for

Co-owning the design process for the smart thermostat and app proposition, from discovery and research through to delivery.Translating complex real-time energy information into clear, intuitive user experiences.Planning and running experiments such as A/B tests to validate design decisions.Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Data Scientists, and Analysts.Participating in and facilitating customer research and usability testing activities.Designing accessible experiences that meet WCAG standards.Contributing to and improving Eneco’s design system, Spark.

This is where you’ll work

You'll join the Home Energy Propositions team within Tech. The team focuses on the transition from Toon to Eneco’s next-generation smart thermostat proposition while continuing to expand energy management capabilities for customers. You’ll work closely with a Product Manager and a Senior Product Designer responsible for Energy Management Services, including batteries, smart charging, and proposition bundling. Together with engineers, researchers, analysts, and data specialists, you'll create seamless customer experiences that bridge hardware and software.

In addition, you'll become part of Eneco’s Product Design & Research community, a group of around 15 designers and researchers who regularly come together to share knowledge, collaborate, and strengthen their craft.
