Mold Tool Design Engineer

Role Overview

This role is central to the full lifecycle of tooling projects, focusing on new tool development, relocation, and ongoing improvements. The specialist will be responsible for creating specifications, evaluating performance, implementing correction strategies, and managing the tool release process, all within the plastic mold industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new, follow-up, and relocation tooling projects.
• Create detailed tooling specification sheets.
• Evaluate measurement reports and develop effective correction strategies.
• Oversee and ensure adherence to the tool release process.
• Implement design improvements for series production and maintainability.
• Provide support for tooling problem-solving and 8D reports.

Requirements Snapshot

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tooling, Mechanical, or Plastic Engineering.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Professional experience in the plastic mold industry, including mold tools design and release.
• Proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX), 3D scan evaluation (preferably GOM), and basic moldflow simulation.
• Good communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
