Forward Deployed Design Lead — Product Lifecycle Management at Avathon

The role

This role serves as the primary experience and implementation owner for industrial AI platform deployments within customer Product Lifecycle Management environments. You will work directly at customer sites to bridge the gap between PLM domain expertise and user experience design to drive autonomous operations.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end implementation of the AI platform within customer PLM environments
• Configure product structure hierarchies and engineering change order tracking modules
• Validate integrations between the platform and major systems like Teamcenter or Windchill
• Lead onsite discovery sessions to document current workflows and define future-state experiences
• Produce implementation-grade design artifacts including screen flows and dashboard layouts
• Design and execute role-specific onboarding programs to drive user adoption

What you'll bring

• Six or more years of experience in PLM implementation or industrial systems delivery
• Deep functional knowledge of BOM management and engineering change processes
• Strong UX design skills with the ability to produce actionable wireframes in Figma
• Bachelor degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field
• Ability to travel up to eighty percent of the time to customer sites
