Junior Spatial Designer / 3D Designer (m/f/d)

Your mission

As a Junior Spatial Designer / 3D Designer at Sunst, you help shape ideas into immersive spatial experiences. Working closely with our Spatial Designers and Creative Directors, you develop three-dimensional concepts that bring brand stories into physical form.

For us, visualization is an active part of the design process. You use 3D as a tool to explore ideas, test spatial compositions, communicate atmosphere, and refine concepts from early stages through to realization.

You think in space, light, material, proportion and atmosphere. You actively embrace AI-powered tools alongside traditional workflows to accelerate ideation and visualization without compromising design quality. You operate at the intersection of visualization and spatial thinking and transforming abstract ideas into convincing spatial experiences.

Scope of Responsibility

Spatial Design & Visualization

Develop high-quality 3D models and visualizations that communicate design intent with clarity and atmosphereTranslate sketches, references and early concepts into compelling spatial proposalsBuild environments, objects and spatial systems that feel believable, intentional and visually refinedCreate AI-assisted visualizations and assets to expand creative exploration and workflow efficiency

Design Development & Refinement

Develop concepts into coherent spatial proposals with a strong sense of composition, scale and detailRefine layouts, furniture and architectural elements while maintaining a consistent design languageBalance conceptual ambition with practical feasibility, safeguarding the core creative idea

Collaboration & Realization

Work closely with Spatial Designers, Creative Directors and Producers throughout the design processContribute to client presentations, technical layouts and design documentationSupport site surveys, prototyping and on-site implementation to ensure the built outcome matches the vision

Your profile

1–3 years experience in spatial, architectural, interior or experiential designDegree in Architecture, Interior Design, Spatial Design, Scenography or a related disciplineStrong portfolio demonstrating a key eye for composition, atmosphere and spatial storytellingProficient in SketchUp and Enscape (Rhino and SketchUp Layout are a plus)Curious about emerging technologies and actively using AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, ChatGPT, Runway) in your workflowBasic understanding of materials, proportion, construction logic and modular designCurious, detail-oriented and comfortable moving between big ideas and technical executionFluent in English (German is a plus)
