Junior CAD Designer – Bridges

Role Overview

This role involves preparing 2D drawings and 3D models of bridge structures and components, working closely with engineers to translate design concepts into detailed documentation. The successful candidate will ensure all drawings adhere to quality standards and contribute to BIM model development for bridge transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of bridge structures using various CAD software.
• Assist in the creation of general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret design concepts, sketches, and mark-ups.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, quality procedures, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and manage document control.
• Contribute to the development of BIM models and coordinate with other disciplines.

Requirements Snapshot

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD drafting within the civil, structural, or infrastructure sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (and/or MicroStation or Revit).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and basic structural principles.
