Job Description

Mission
Axonius is at a pivotal moment. Our platform is a powerhouse of data and technology, and we're ready to move from being "tech-centric" to "user-centric." As the Director of Product Design, you aren't here to tweak a few buttons—you're here to transform an entire experience across a complex, multi-product platform.
You will build and lead a full design department, owning the end-to-end user experience across all Axonius products. You'll be the connective tissue between product lines—synthesizing a coherent, intuitive experience from a sophisticated set of capabilities. And you'll be the person who defines what great UX looks like in the AI era: not just adapting to AI features, but rethinking how users interact with intelligence-first products.
Beyond the craft, you'll drive real operational change. You'll lead the adoption of AI-powered workflows—not just within the design team, but in close partnership with Engineering—finding ways to compress cycles, ship faster, and create outsized impact. You'll work directly with customers, field teams, PMs, and developers, and you'll lead cross-functional processes that connect design to the business.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Leadership & Team Building: 4+ years leading a design team; experience building and scaling a full design department, not just managing individuals.
  • Platform-Scale Thinking: Proven ability to own the UX of a complex, multi-product platform end-to-end—connecting dots across product lines and creating a coherent whole.
  • SaaS Expertise: Significant experience designing and shipping B2B SaaS products at scale.
  • Product Overhaul Experience: Demonstrated success transforming a technical, complex product into an intuitive, high-end user experience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to advocate for design-led thinking at the executive level while collaborating effectively with Engineering, Sales, and field teams.
  • People Development: A track record of mentoring designers and managing career growth, not just task delivery.


Preferred Qualifications
  • AI-Era UX: Experience designing for AI-powered products or defining UX patterns for intelligence-first experiences.
  • AI Workflow Leadership: Hands-on experience driving AI adoption in design and development workflows—reducing cycle times, accelerating delivery, and enabling teams to do more with less.
  • Cybersecurity Domain: Familiarity with cybersecurity or high-complexity data products.
  • Design Systems: Deep expertise building and maintaining Design Systems that scale across complex platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Process Leadership: Experience leading initiatives that span design, engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.
  • Startup Agility: Comfortable balancing craft and speed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
