As a Game Designer, you will help shape compelling casino game concepts, features and player experiences for Playradar, translating product opportunities into engaging gameplay mechanics, clear design concepts and commercially relevant games.
This role is suited to someone who can contribute to game design initiatives, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and support the delivery of high-quality design outcomes across a growing Playradar Casino Games portfolio.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Contribute to the design of innovative casino game concepts, mechanics and features in a competitive iGaming market.
- Support design decisions that balance creativity, player engagement, data insights, commercial KPIs and product goals.
- Consider regulatory, responsible gaming and certification requirements and translate them into clear, player-centric design solutions.
- Drive rapid iteration from early concepts and prototypes through production-ready features, using feedback, data and stakeholder input to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product, Game Mathematics, Engineering, Art, UX, QA, Compliance and Commercial teams to align game vision, feasibility and execution.
- Create and maintain clear game design documentation, feature specifications, gameplay requirements and design standards from concept through launch.
- Shape ambiguous early-stage opportunities into clear game propositions, defining core loops, player journeys, differentiating features and success criteria.
- Contribute to discussions on game vision, target audience, player motivation, roadmap priorities and commercial goals for casino game products.
- Ensure high-quality casino game experiences are delivered under tight timelines while maintaining clarity, feasibility, innovation and measurable player value.
ABOUT YOU:
- 3+ years of experience in game design, preferably within iGaming, real-money gaming, casino games, social casino or digital entertainment.
- Experience contributing to shipped games, features or digital gaming products from concept through delivery and post-launch iteration.
- Good understanding of casino game mechanics, player motivation, onboarding, engagement loops, progression systems, reward structures and commercial game design principles.
- Strong ability to use KPIs such as retention, engagement, conversion, monetization, session behavior and feature performance to guide design direction, evaluate success and identify improvement opportunities.
- Working knowledge of RTP, volatility, probability-driven mechanics and how game math influences player experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Game Mathematicians.
- Ability to create and review clear, structured and actionable game design documents, feature specifications, user flows, acceptance criteria and design frameworks for complex products.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work with Product, Game Mathematics, Engineering, Art, UX, QA, Compliance and Commercial stakeholders around clear design decisions.
- Ability to balance creative ambition with feasibility, regulatory constraints, player value, commercial objectives and portfolio-level priorities.
- Willingness to share ideas, contribute to team best practices and learn from feedback to continuously improve design quality.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience designing or contributing to slots, instant-win games, crash-style games, live betting products, live casino products or sports-themed casino experiences.
- Strong familiarity with regulated markets, certification processes, responsible gaming requirements and jurisdiction-specific design constraints.
- Experience with A/B testing, live game optimization, player behaviour analysis and post-launch feature iteration.
- Good understanding of game engines, prototyping tools, UX wireframing tools or visual scripting environments is an advantage.

Additional Information
The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
