Job Description

Your job

Your new job as a Creative Front-End Developer is to be the UX owner in a small, senior full-stack team. The team is tasked with developing Get-e’s existing Flights & Train booking platform.
  • You will be the UX person on the team. You define how airline operations and crew planning professionals search, compare, and book flights and trains. And you bring those decisions into design concepts (Figma) and production code (React).
  • You have at least 3+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong UX focus.
  • You care more about how much value a product delivers to the user than how it looks on the surface. UI polish matters, but your obsession is: clear steps, fewer errors, no surprises.
  • You’ll be expected to share a portfolio that demonstrates UX and design skills.
  • You are autonomous and self-driven, comfortable making UX decisions without a design department behind you, while iterating based on data and insights
  • You can facilitate design critiques and brainstorming sessions and can clearly communicate and justify your design decisions to developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
You will join a compact team continuing to develop the Flight and Train booking platform, together with full-stack developers and the product manager. A few of your responsibilities:
  • Designing the end-to-end UX of the Flights & Train booking platform.
  • Turning complex booking logic into workflows and features that feel simple.
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma, validating them quickly, and iterating based on feedback.
  • Building what you design: developing front-end interfaces in React, while balancing technical constraints with user experience.
  • Prototyping and experimenting with AI tools or directly in code when that is the fastest way to validate an idea and create value.
  • Running lightweight UX research: talking to users, quick usability checks, and analysing user behaviour with tools like Amplitude and Chameleon.
  • Collaborating closely with the full-stack developers on API contracts, data states, loading and error behaviour.
  • Helping refine user stories from the UX perspective, ensuring what the team builds creates the desired outcomes and user benefits.

Your profile

What we’re looking for
  • 3+ years of professional experience building front-end applications in React (or equivalent).
  • A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking: flows you optimised, usability you increased, improvements that are not just visual design.
  • Fluency in Figma for flows, wireframing, screen design and prototyping.
  • Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, including information architecture, interaction design, handling edge cases, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English; able to defend UX decisions.

Nice to have
  • Experience with travel industry, aviation, logistics, or other reservation systems.
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library.
  • Skilled use of AI-assisted design and development workflows.

What matters most
  • You understand that great UX balances user needs with business goals.
  • Ownership: when the experience is confusing, you consider it your problem to fix.
