Job Description

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. At Figma, we're building a vibrant community where designers and product builders come together to learn, grow, and connect around their shared passion. Our Advocacy team is central to this mission - empowering our users through engaging content, meaningful interactions, and genuine advocacy.

We're looking for a Designer Advocate to partner closely with our Marketing, Sales, and Product teams. You'll bring deep design expertise, strong product intuition, and a genuine love for the design community into our go-to-market strategies. You'll also champion our users' voices internally, ensuring their perspectives shape our product evolution.

This is a full time hybrid role based in our São Paulo, Brazil hub.

What you'll do at Figma:

  • Empower users at scale: Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Experience teams to help customers unlock the full potential of Figma across real product workflows
  • Create compelling content: Develop written, visual, and video resources that reflect how modern teams actually design and build, from early exploration to production-ready systems
  • Inspire community connections: Foster meaningful relationships within the Figma community, identify collaboration opportunities, and nurture user-driven initiatives
  • Speak and engage at events: Regularly present at industry meetups, conferences, and community events, sharing practical insights from real-world design work
  • Champion user voices: Stay attuned to community feedback, sentiment, and emerging design trends—advocating internally to inform product decisions and improvements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Deep, hands-on Figma expertise and an entrepreneurial drive, with experience integrating Figma within real product teams and a track record of taking ideas from early exploration to impactful, polished outcomes
  • A thorough understanding of modern product design workflows and development environments, with experience building, managing, and using design systems, tokens, and AI-assisted design or prototyping, while collaborating closely with engineers and other cross-functional partners
  • Clear and compelling communication skills, especially when explaining complex workflows or systems, with confidence speaking publicly and engaging large audiences
  • Strong technical design skills and a demonstrated understanding of how design decisions translate into development
  • Genuine passion for the design community, with eagerness to engage and contribute, and comfort traveling up to 25% of the time to connect in person
