Job Description

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Resilient Economies team, helping us communicate complex research and policy work in ways that are clear and visually compelling.

You will work closely with our consultants and researchers, translating data, reports, and policy insights into accessible formats (infographics, presentations, publications, and digital content) while maintaining consistency with Ecorys' brand and the quality our clients expect. You'll also work directly with the communications departments of our clients, for example aligning with a European organisation's brand guidelines, or coordinating with an in-house comms team on how research results will be published and shared.

We're looking for someone who combines strong visual instincts with the organisational skills to manage several projects and teams at once. The topics and clients vary and being able to pick up new subject matter quickly and keep track of multiple workstreams, and collaborating smoothly with different project teams is as important as the design itself.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign reports, publications, infographics, data visualisations, presentations, and digital contentWork with project teams from early stages to conceptualise research findings, data, and process flows into clear visual outputsCollaborate with team members and clients to understand project needs and translate them into visual outputs;Support the delivery of communications plansEnsure brand consistency across all materials, following Ecorys’ visual identity;Support proposal development with visually compelling layouts and graphics;Contribute ideas to improve visual communication and design processes within the team.

What we will need from youMinimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic design;Strong portfolio demonstrating editorial design, layout, and visual storytelling;Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; After Effects or similar is a plus);Proficiency in Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Power BI is a plus);Experience designing reports and working with text-heavy documents;Ability to translate complex concepts into clear visual solutions;Strong attention to detail and organisational skills;Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment;Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-design colleagues;Fluent in English (written and spoken), Dutch language proficiency is a plus.Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Illustrator-based charts, Power BI, Tableau, etc.);Experience working in consulting, research, or public sector environments;Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design practices.Availability to start on either 1 October or 1 November 2026.
