Are you passionate about audiovisual technologies and eager to advance your career in an international setting? Join our innovative User Centric Spaces & Places (UCSP) team and help us expand our global presence in the Benelux market.  

As an AV Designer at macom – Part of Drees and Sommer you will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of audiovisual systems for various applications, such as corporate environments, event spaces, and entertainment venues.   

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: 

  • Develop and design both standard and complex audiovisual systems, i.e. video systems, audio systems, control systems 
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless system integration 
  • Select appropriate AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing solutions and control systems 
  • Provide AV-requirements (power/data/reinforced walls etc.) to IT and main contractor 
  • Check third-party deliverables before deployment (e.g. IT-patching, V-LANs, Wi-Fi and NAC), conduct site surveys and produce reports 
  • Participate in regular work-stream meetings 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent qualification 
  • 3+ years of experience in AV design, integration, or installation as well as experience in project management 
  • Expertise in AV design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Visio) as well as strong knowledge in control systems, audio and video transport protocols 
  • English is a must; French is appreciated, and German is a plus 
  • Willingness to travel  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 

CTS or PRINCE² certification, knowledge of networking principles related to AV over IP, and familiarity with the integration of virtual and augmented reality into AV design would be an advantage.
