Role Description And Purpose
The Portfolio Designer will analyse client portfolios and design investment solutions in support of BNPP AM’s provision of customized investment advice to clients in the Wholesale, Insurance, Pension, Corporate and Private segments, globally. Next to this activity of financial engineering, the Portfolio Designer also contributes inputs to the servicing of clients through regular review meetings, design of investment plans and monitoring of effectiveness of provided investment solutions. The Portfolio Designer runs the quantitative advisory models that are designed by BNPP AM’s quant teams and also engages in lighter programming work, mostly to summarize and format model outputs into presentable proposals.
The Portfolio Designer will work with a team of Portfolio Designers and Research Analysts, all with strong quantitative backgrounds, and with Advisors who will pitch the solutions to clients – all in the Client Advisory department. The Portfolio Designers will also work with a variety of subject matter experts outside of the Client Advisory department including sustainability, regulation, and client segment experts.
Key Responsibilities
Run BNPP AM’s investment advisory models in support of new business opportunities and existing clients Work with Advisors to analyse portfolios, design client solutions, prepare presentations and monitor existing solutions Work closely with the Research team on new model development, idea generation, innovation, and thought leadership Build tools that summarize and format model outputs into meaningful information for clientsPresent and explain internally and externally the methodology and tools behind the investment proposals that we are makingContribute to the commercialization of customized investment solutions and new product development

Role Requirements
Essential skills/competencies (TEchnical / behavioural / leadership)

Essential Qualifications & Experience
A master in a quantitative study with 2-4 years of experience in the fieldPassionate about financial marketsCombines quantitative focus with commercial savvinessStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to explain complex concepts and ideas with simple words / graphs adapted to the audience Strong communication skills
