Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Landscape Architect to join our team in Amman, Jordan. As a Landscape Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing sustainable, aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces that harmonise with the local environment and meet our clients' needs.
- Develop and execute landscape design concepts for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and public spaces
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure integrated design solutions
- Conduct site analyses and prepare detailed site plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Create visually compelling presentations and reports for clients and stakeholders
- Manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Incorporate sustainable design practices and water-efficient landscaping techniques suitable for arid climates
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure proper implementation of design plans
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and local regulations affecting landscape architecture
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the department
- Participate in client meetings and site visits to gather requirements and oversee project progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape architectural design
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and project delivery processes
- Proficiency in landscape design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with BIM processes, implementation, and workflows
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmental regulations
- Familiarity with local flora and climate conditions in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Creative and innovative approach to landscape design challenges
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards
- Ability to work effectively in hot, arid climate conditions
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous
