Job Description

As Creative Patternmaker at our Paris Design Office you will work closely with our womenswear design team and support our designers, from the first idea idea by studying shapes and creating patterns from sketch or canvas. Furthermore you will follow the garment throughout the whole development and production process, working closely with our product developer and production team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As Creative Patternmaker your main contribution will be to create high quality patterns for all women's wear collections. You will report to the Head Patternmaker in Paris. You will play a vital role by:

Deliver high quality patterns with clear information to in-house atelier or suppliers for the designated product group Provide expertise on technical criteria and solutionsResponsible for pattern quality of the style from sketch handover to last production fitting for the designated product groupParticipate in fitting sessions, take comments, provide proactive and focused input to ensure further development and smooth production processes Interact closely with inhouse atelier regarding construction and finishing’sWork closely with product developer, technical designer and designer of the designated product group during the development process, show preparations and production phase

Academic degree within design and/or patternmakingMinimum 7 years’ experience as a pattern maker preferably in an international high-end fashion brand within flou, tailored and casual pattern makingStrong communication skills in written and spoken English with a good command of English technical terms, knowledge of French is meritingGood understanding of the creative process and experimental pattern solutionsHighly proficient in a CAD pattern software (Gerber, Lectra, etc.)Knowledge of CLO is meriting
