Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer (PHE + Fire Fighting) is responsible for the critical task of designing and reviewing PHE and fire protection systems for building projects. This role demands a high level of expertise and attention to detail.
- Meticulously design and rigorously review PHE and fire protection systems for building projects, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive design drawings, precise BOQs, and detailed technical specifications with utmost accuracy.
- Conduct complex hydraulic and flow calculations to guarantee system performance and reliability.
- Strictly adhere to and ensure full compliance with NBC, NFPA, and all relevant codes and standards.
- Effectively coordinate with architecture, structure, and MEP teams to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.

- Proficiency in complex hydraulic calculations and pump sizing

Qualifications
Experience Required: A minimum of 10 years of extensive, relevant experience is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates possessing up to 15 years in the field. This extensive experience requirement is non-negotiable due to the critical nature of the role.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. The degree must demonstrate a rigorous academic background in mechanical engineering principles, particularly those applicable to PHE and fire fighting systems.

Additional Information
Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit MEP.
Understanding of plumbing and firefighting system design principles.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NBC, IS, and basic knowledge of NFPA).
