Quick Summary

Role Overview

This is a hybrid product design and frontend engineering role at a pre-seed AI startup. You will be responsible for shaping the user experience and building the interface for a personal AI agent from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert early product concepts into Figma prototypes and usable flows
  • Develop web interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
  • Design and build systems for user interaction with AI agents
  • Contribute to the development of the iOS application using SwiftUI
  • Establish initial design standards and reusable component libraries
  • Iterate rapidly based on feedback to ship functional product versions

Requirements Snapshot

  • Proven experience in both product design and frontend engineering
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Figma
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make independent product decisions
  • Fluent Polish for daily team communication
  • Willingness to work on-site in Warsaw five days a week

Expected Impact

You will define the core interaction patterns for a new category of AI product, moving beyond simple mockups to deliver a fully functional user experience. Your work will directly determine how users trust and control their personal AI agents, setting the foundation for the company's visual and technical standards.

Job Description

Build a personal AI agent from first concept to shipped product. You will own product design and frontend implementation across web and iOS, working directly with the founder and a small technical team in Warsaw.

This is a 0-to-1 role. You will define how users interact with an AI agent, design the product experience, and build the interfaces yourself. The product is not fully specified, so you will make product decisions, test quickly, and ship working versions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate early ideas into user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma designs.

  • Implement production web interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

  • Design and build interfaces that make agent behavior understandable: what the agent is doing, what input it needs, what it has done, and what requires user approval.

  • Define flows for starting tasks, reviewing agent actions, correcting mistakes, and approving sensitive actions.

  • Contribute to the iOS app using SwiftUI.

  • Establish the first component library, interaction patterns, visual system, and frontend conventions.

  • Handle real product states: loading, empty states, errors, partial results, unclear AI output, and long-running actions.

  • Work with the founder and engineers on product decisions, technical trade-offs, and shipping priorities.

Requirements

  • Production experience shipping TypeScript, React, and Next.js applications.

  • Strong product design ability in Figma, including user flows and high-fidelity UI.

  • At least one shipped product or feature where you owned both design and frontend implementation.

  • Ability to move independently from an unclear idea to a tested, working interface.

  • Solid frontend fundamentals: component architecture, responsive layout, accessibility, API state handling, and performance.

  • Experience making product decisions rather than only implementing tickets or finished designs.

  • A portfolio, live product, or code sample that clearly shows your design and engineering contribution.

  • Fluent Polish for daily team communication.

  • Availability to work on-site in Warsaw five days per week.

Nice to have

  • SwiftUI experience.

  • Vercel AI SDK or AI Gateway experience.

  • Experience designing AI, agent, automation, or workflow products.
