Responsible for the engineering, design, development, scheduling, and production launch of a Body-in-Closures. Responsible for supporting Feasibility Development through the application of Templates with Design Office Topics. Responsible for components and assemblies of the upper part of the vehicle up to the program's CAD milestones. Responsible for the System Requirements Sections and the Application of BIW Part Templates throughout the program. Responsible for maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for Engineering. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
Five years of engineering experience
Design/development engineering experience in Body in White, closures or exterior systems
CAD experience, knowledge in full panels, door modules, knowledge in glass, door seals, mirrors, impact bars, hinges, rear medallions, trunks.
Proficient in Google and MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Experience:
One year of experience in NX and Teamcenter in a production release environment BIW in-plant launch experience
Knowledgeable in use of Unigraphics, NX and Teamcenter
Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
Knowledgeable in regards to high strength steels, welding and GD&T
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt/Black Belt
