Join us as a Distribution Engineer or Designer to work on exciting and complex projects with key clients in the electrical utilities space, locally and nationally. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled engineer or designer who is seeking their next career move.

The role would include:

  •  Being part of a collaborative WA Energy team and supporting project deliverables interstate as and when required
  • Detailed design for distribution overhead lines, underground cable network and substations
  • Deliver distribution design projects, playing an integral role in project outcomes for WA utilities such as Western Power, Horizon Power and Synergy
  • Support with the preparation of project and bid documentation as required
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are achieved

Qualifications

To be successful in this opportunity, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience supporting Western Australian utility networks. You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Design
  • Full drivers license
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering overhead and underground distribution network projects (up to 66kV)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project delivery for key distribution projects across Western Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing deliverables including design drawings, documentation and design files
  • Familiarity with using line design programs such as Poles n Wires or similar.
  • Experience with producing design drawings with MicroStation
  • A good attitude to mentoring junior staff through quality feedback and one on one guidance
  • Ability to attend site and undertake site visits
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels
