Job Description

We are currently seeking an R&D Energy Engineer, with expertise in Transmission/Distribution networks, Energy Wholesale Markets, and experience in European-funded R&D projects. This individual should also be fluent in English and willing to serve as an expert in Athens, Greece. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a high-performing team comprised of diverse experts working collaboratively towards common objectives. What You'll Do:

  • Managing and executing projects funded by the European Commission that are centered on Information Technologies and Power System engineering. European Dynamics holds a prominent position in the field of energy research in Europe and has made significant contributions to large and strategic projects;
  • Crafting a comprehensive set of document deliverables and reports for R&D initiatives and business development endeavors. These documents encompass various elements, including requirements, conceptual models, specifications, as well as implementation and integration plans;
  • Taking the lead in advancing the landscape of Energy research and technology within Europe, particularly in pioneering concepts related to integrated energy-sharing platforms and communities, energy protocols and architectures, and flexibility markets and services;
  • Contributing to the design and creation of innovative products, services, and applications across various domains such as energy data spaces, energy communities, energy storage, and associated digital technologies. This also extends to areas like energy efficiency, sustainability, end-user engagement, motivation strategies, and investment planning and financing.
  • University degree in Engineering/ICT / Power Systems Engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualification at MSc or PhD level;
  • At least 4 years experience in working directly with technical teams with proven track records;
  • At least 2 years experience specifically in National and European research programs;
  • Experience in software design and development;
  • Experience in Transmission/Distribution networks, Energy Wholesale Markets;
  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and oral;
  • Good interpersonal, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment;
  • Good analytical skills, as well as a proactive attitude towards solving problems;
  • Experience in designing Horizon Europe proposals and coordinating or implementing relevant projects, will be considered an asset.
