ALUME Institute is a Brazilian non-profit NGO based in Fazenda ALUME, Ilhéus, Bahia, dedicated to strengthening communities through education, sustainability, health, and culture. ALUME carries out projects in education, social development, ecological restoration, arts and culture, and volunteering, while fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaborative solutions for pressing local and global challenges.
The ALUME Institute is a non-profit civil association founded on 5 May 2025, dedicated to ecological regeneration and human development. Its work integrates sustainability, science and traditional knowledge, promoting cooperation between national and international communities in favour of health, culture and human rights.
Through programmes in ecological education, agroforestry, plant research, social innovation and artistic residency, the Alume Institute promotes a replicable model of coexistence between people and nature — uniting the future and the present of the planet.
Headquartered at Fazenda ALUME (Ilhéus/BA), the Institute operates on 42 hectares of Atlantic Forest, strategically located in the central corridor of the biome.
