UX Researcher - Shanghai

Role Overview

This role involves assisting in planning and conducting qualitative user research, supporting desktop research, and collaborating with design and strategy teams. The aim is to translate research findings into actionable insights, inform design decisions, and strengthen human-centered design practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting qualitative user research (interviews, usability tests, field studies, surveys).
• Support desktop research and competitor analysis to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers and strategists to identify research questions and frame hypotheses.
• Participate in workshops and synthesis sessions to translate findings into actionable insights.
• Help create personas, journey maps, and insight reports to inform design decisions.
• Communicate findings clearly through visual storytelling and presentations to internal teams and clients.

Requirements Snapshot

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Psychology, Anthropology, HCI, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of UX research methods and the product development process.
• Curiosity, empathy, and strong observation and listening skills.
• Proactive mindset with good organizational and communication skills.
• Confidence in presenting ideas in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).
