Staff Product Designer - Infrastructure

Role Overview

Datadog is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead high-impact design initiatives for their Infrastructure products. This role involves shaping the long-term UX vision, creating cohesive cross-product experiences, and partnering with leadership to ensure intuitive and actionable user interfaces for complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design initiatives across Containers, Serverless, and Networking to create a unified, guided experience.
• Define the long-term UX vision for Infrastructure products, enabling users to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for integrated and intuitive cross-product user experiences.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to align roadmaps and drive cohesive multi-product user experiences.
• Elevate design craft by improving existing patterns, unifying shared surfaces, and setting a high execution bar.
• Mentor and support other designers within the Infrastructure team, sharing best practices and raising overall quality.

• 10+ years of experience as a Staff-level designer crafting complex, web-based products.
• Proven ability to articulate a clear design vision and build alignment across teams.
• Comfort working with deeply technical domains and multi-product ecosystems.
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in creating and scaling design patterns across an organization.
