The Merchant Design team crafts the products and services that merchants rely on every day to succeed on DoorDash. We aim to be an essential partner for every merchant, whether by enhancing in-store operations or streamlining business management. Our team’s purpose is to design seamless, engaging experiences that support merchants at every stage of their journey. With a commitment to design thinking, creativity, and innovation, we bring the heart and soul of DoorDash to life, ensuring the user experience is filled with unique, memorable interactions.

About the Role

As a senior product designer on the Merchant Platform Innovation team, you will join an exciting new confidential initiative that has found momentum with an emerging hardware product. We’ve assembled a strong cross-functional, entrepreneurial team to take the product to the next level and we are looking for a designer to join its small but mighty design team. 

You’ll be responsible for the design of new end-to-end user experiences for our product. Given this initiative is still in its early stages, speed, craft, and execution quality are high priority. You’ll also need a strong owner mentality as you'll be expected to collaborate with cross-functional partners—including research, product, engineering, analytics, and business—to shape the team’s strategy and prioritize efforts.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay ranges for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
