About the Role

As a Principal UX Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining the end-to-end experience across Opendoor’s products and services. You’ll be a craft leader and thought partner to product, engineering, research, and business stakeholders—pushing the boundaries of design to deliver experiences that are both delightful and impactful. This role requires vision, systems-level thinking, and the ability to inspire teams to execute at a high bar of design excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Elevate the quality of design thinking, craft, and execution across the team by owning and driving operating mechanisms like design reviews and customer experience reviews
  • Mentor and coach more junior designers and help them develop and grow as they progress in their career
  • Provide input and support to the VP of Design on recruiting and hiring, talent development, and team culture

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $238,400-$298,000 annually, plus RSUs and bonuses. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including unlimited PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
