The Senior Designer is an integral part of the DEPT® team and works to design standard-setting products for major clients, providing high-quality content for lifestyle and technology categories. You will design experiences that set the standards for others to follow. You do this through conceptual direction, production, sketching, prototyping, and planning.  You are design-focused, detail-oriented, excellent at collaborating and multitasking, and eager to be part of a team that makes things come to life. In your role, you will report to the Creative Director, who will drive the strategy and direction for the creative and design team. You will support the strategic goals of the company by focusing on the success of these activities and assisting with meeting the short and long-term objectives of the organization.

  • Contribute to various large-scale digital projects, including websites, branding, content, campaigns, and more.
  • Progress yourself as well as the projects you work on.
  • Craft documentation and deliver asset kits to developers and other team members.
  • Bring business strategy to creative execution to drive results
  • Be a leader, putting the client and your team before yourself.
  • Work with little process in place, solving problems through proactive problem-solving.
  • Create compelling presentations that clearly communicate the team's vision.
  • Find ways to bring your work to life through motion design or high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Oversee junior talent and guide them toward the project goals.
  • Seek simplicity and useability in everything you make.
  • Maintain consistency across all pieces of communication from the product to presentation
  • Present and articulate your thinking and intention behind your work to the team and clients.
  • Take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience within an agency or similar environment
  • Confidence and talent when it comes to presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, brand development, and the creative process.
  • A love for typography, interaction, traditional graphic design, and technology.
  • Skills in modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Ability to lead internal teams with strategic vision and creative inspiration.
  • A solid point of view and a collaborative nature.
  • An entrepreneurial and independent spirit.
  • A diverse sense of taste with the knowledge necessary to apply to various challenges.
  • Passion for lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, and technology.

The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.

US Remote Range

$106,900 - $160,400 USD
