Role Overview

Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Design Systems team. This role involves managing a team of front-end engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and defining a technical roadmap to scale and maintain a best-in-class design system. The goal is to ensure efficiency and accessibility across Datadog's product ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5-6 Front End Engineers, focusing on individual growth and team quality.
• Provide technical feedback and ensure alignment with Datadog's engineering standards.
• Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering teams to implement design components and promote design systems.
• Define a technical roadmap that aligns product goals with the team's mission, prioritizing user needs.
• Lead the scaling and maintenance of a multi-product design system and advocate for usability best practices.
• Participate in hands-on work, including code reviews, design reviews, and some coding.
