Cad Designer - Catia V5

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled CAD Designer with experience in Catia V5 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing environments, preferably within the automotive sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, designing high-quality components and assemblies for cutting-edge vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies using Catia V5
• Develop designs that align with manufacturing capabilities and constraints
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
• Conduct design modifications and optimizations to improve product performance
• Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Maintain documentation and version control for all design files

Requirements:

✔ Proven experience as a CAD Designer using Catia V5
✔ Background in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
✔ Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
✔ Understanding of materials, fabrication, and assembly processes
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
✔ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills:

➕ Experience with PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter)
➕ Knowledge of automotive industry standards & regulations
➕ Understanding of FEA and simulation tools

• 3 week initial contract - further work expected
• Location: Gaydon (Onsite)
• 5 days onsite
