Summer 2026 Recruitment Timeline:  

November 10 – December 5: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume) 

Mid November – Late December: First round video interviews  

Mid – Late January: Second round interviews 

Late January – February: Selected candidates receive offers 

Summer 2026 Internship Program:

• Applications Close: December 5th at 11:59pm ET. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible – applications could close earlier due to applicant volume!
• Program Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026
• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. 
• Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.

Corporate Functions: NBCUniversal's Corporate groups are uniquely positioned at the core of our organization.  Employees within these groups use their area of expertise to support all businesses across the company, keeping the heart of each brand at the forefront. There are also business-specific opportunities available, which may be included in the description below.  

Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.  

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

• Corporate Communications – Creative Group: The Corporate Communications Creative Group produces various creative work for events, digital, video, consumer-facing, and internal communications. This group is looking for an individual who is curious and excited about all things design including: brand identities, design systems, environmental design, video, typography, motion graphics, and illustration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an attention to detail, has a collaborative spirit with an ability to meet deadlines, and is comfortable learning new design tools to keep pace with the ever-evolving design field. • Rockefeller Center Operations, Guest Experience (Marketing, Promotions & Merchandising): The Guest Experience Team oversees all of Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and Social for the Shop and Tours, Tours, and Audience Operations. Our intern would be exposed to all areas of Merchandising and Marketing through projects promoting the Shop, product development, competitive shopping, Print marketing, Social campaigns and photoshoots.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.  

Desired Characteristics:

• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• For Corporate Communications, Creative Group: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar; Proficient with Adobe CC software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects; Experience in designing print, digital and animated assets; Knowledge of fonts and typography; Ability to create graphic layouts, logos, illustrations and keyart.
• For Rockefeller Center Operations, Guest Experience: Academic focus on Merchandising, Product Development or Social Media; Strong fluency in Excel; Photoshop literacy.

The hourly rate for student interns is $19.00.
