Packaging Design Team Leader_PS

Role Overview

This role leads a package design team, responsible for the design and project management of packaging solutions for raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and internal transportation tools. The focus is on achieving competitive results in quality, cost, and delivery for assigned value streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner for assigned value streams, taking responsibility for package design, material selection, and data maintenance to achieve competitive Q, C, D results.
• Oversee the packaging design for all product types, including finished goods, raw materials, trading parts, and in-house produced parts.
• Organize design concept reviews within the package team to select optimal designs for finished goods, work-in-progress, and raw materials.
• Lead the analysis of existing packaging designs to systematically identify improvement potentials and ensure their realization with structured tracking.
• Facilitate structured best practice sharing within the package team to maximize package KPI results.
• Assist management in overseeing overall packaging KPIs, identifying gaps or risks, and proposing constructive measures to actively manage them.

Requirements Snapshot

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, packaging engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design.
• Fluent English speaking ability.
• Good knowledge of packaging material engineering, including materials, transportation, storage, production processes, quality control, and testing.
• Proficiency in CAD and ProE software.
