Design Engineer Components FAS (m/f/d)

Role Overview

This role involves the end-to-end development and design of fastening elements and shields for sensors and control units. From initial concept to series release, the engineer will be responsible for creating robust and compliant components for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design various components including brackets, shields, cooling plates, and covers.
• Perform strength and vibration simulations to ensure component integrity.
• Prepare essential request documents, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate effectively with external suppliers and internal departments.
• Prepare release sheets and manage PDM documents for product lifecycle.
• Support the integration of components into technology carriers and prototype vehicles.

Requirements Snapshot

• Degree or training in design, mechanical engineering, or automotive engineering.
• Proven expertise in both plastic and metal design.
• Experience with FEM simulations for component analysis.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, CONNECT, and KVS software.
• Familiarity with corporate processes and standards.
