Role Overview

This role involves translating customer application and technical requirements into engineering specifications and new product designs. You will be responsible for the full product development lifecycle, from initial design to testing and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to understand their application and technical needs.
• Develop engineering specifications and design solutions based on customer requirements.
• Create product documentation including PN/BOM, 3D models, 2D drawings, and specifications.
• Lead design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm manufacturing and quality control feasibility.
• Lead DV/PV testing and resolve product design and test issues.

Requirements Snapshot

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of connector mechanical design experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of connector fundamentals and component design.
• Proficiency in GD&T and material mechanics (plastic, rubber, metal).
• Experience with manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, etc.) and 3D/2D/FEA software.
