Title: Maritime Electrical Engineer
Experience Needed: Senior Level
Working Arrangement: Remote (Travel to Southampton 2 times a month)
Location: Southampton

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical schematics and cabling systems for next-generation autonomous vessels.
• Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings to support the electrical integration of control, communication, and power systems.
• Develop and manage CAT, Fibre, and COAX communication networks for vessel control and sensor systems.
• Oversee system installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with MCA and DNV maritime standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, safety, and sustainability across vessel operations.
• Support the delivery of new vessel platforms, ensuring robust electrical systems are in place for launch and long-term operation.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical design and schematic creation.
• Strong background in marine electrical engineering or vessel system design.
• Experience working with CAT/Fibre/COAX communication systems.
• Knowledge of MCA, DNV, or other relevant marine standards.
• Proven experience delivering full system designs, from concept to commissioning.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Marine, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in autonomous or remotely operated marine systems.
• Hands-on experience with cabling, routing, and harness assembly for marine environments.
• Familiarity with low-voltage power systems and marine communication architectures.
• Understanding of hybrid or renewable power integration in maritime systems.
